'SURVIVING THE MARTIAL ARTS'.....'WHAT IF I DON'T RUN A CLUB?'

Even if you don't run a club you may still have something to say whether it be in the form of advice, hard earned experience or a simply amusing short tale to tell. Then you may well find yourself immortalised forever in one of the many annuals of printed martial arts history. Sounds to good to be true, but a totally realistic possibility.

I won't insult your intelligence, we produced this book based on the subject dear to all our hearts primarily to make money and in turn produce more books, and so on. However, as it is based on a passion first and a business second, we have tried to get the balance right by giving you the unknown martial artist, a chance to have your say. Which of course is mutually beneficial to all of us!. At the end of the day though if all you want to do is just buy a copy.....great stuff!.

'SURVIVING THE MARTIAL ARTS'.....'I CAN'T WRITE STORIES!'

Don't worry if you can't write a good short story, we'll not expecting everyone to be a budding Shakespeare. There's nobody in the office that can understand him anyway!. You just give us the gist of it. You know the sort of thing.....when, where, why, what happened, who's art, the moral of, experience learnt!.....That sort of thing, and we'll edit your text and make sure we put your original point across for you. Failing that simply send us an audio cassette tape and talk us through it.

We can't guarantee that your article will feature in the very next edition as it will be on a first come, first served basis for the space available. However we will always try where possible to add your club details into the directory of the following edition, regardless if your story has been printed or not. Please note though, that all appropriate material will be kept for future editions. Also the company does however reserve the right to reject any unsuitable or personally offensive material, and may make changes or omissions where appropriate.

On a more positive note if you feel you have a good tale to tell and you want to write it yourself, then please try to limit your text to approximately '500' words, give or take!. Don't worry about it though we can make a shorter story longer, and a long one shorter without loosing the plot.

'SURVIVING THE MARTIAL ARTS'.....'WHAT ASPECTS OF THE MARTIAL ARTS, DOES THE BOOK COVER?'

As I hope we have already made clear the book relates to personal experiences and humorous stories as well as useful tips, some historical facts of martial interest, fitness training, the do's and don'ts of the use of equipment. From enormous egos, to the bullshit of internal association politics. We look at the cost of private lessons to weapons, competitions and demonstrations. You name it!, and quite literally here's your chance to do exactly that, and all accompanied by highly illustrated cartoons. 'NOTE!' we are considering a future special edition, that may well feature both your story and cartoons together. So you are welcome to send in a photocopy of your drawings and ideas. We will select the best of the bunch in a first come first served order, but again no suitable material is ever discarded and may well be used in a future edition.

'SURVIVING THE MARTIAL ARTS'.....'HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN THE NEXT EDITION IS DUE OUT?'.

The duration period between editions is subject to demand and hasn't been finalised at this stage, but everybody who has subscribed to the current book in the series will be personally notified in due course as to the availability of the next edition.

We will always attempt whenever possible, to reserve a copy of the next edition for our already existing customers. As we like to think we intentionally treat them no differently to our personal friends, and therefore value their custom.

'SURVIVING THE MARTIAL ARTS'.....'MISSED EDITIONS!'.

Don't worry if you end up missing one edition as we try to publish enough so as to hold back a reserve number of copies whenever possible. Failing that your order will be kept open and you will be informed of the next limited print run of that particular, previous edition. That way you have the choice to whether you want to receive a complete refund, or choose to accept to wait for the specified period of time. Thereby guaranteeing that you have secured a copy of that edition to add to your collection.
